Raising a Mug to the Miracles

Hi friends! Kelly here from EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. All week long, we’ve been celebrating with our friends from Marriott, and we’ve been joining them as they’ve helped to raise a glass to the miracles. Today, my friend, Audrey, and I hung out with the staff at the Courtyard by Marriott Bangor and the Marriott TownePlace Suites Bangor. We wanted to say thank you for the weeklong celebration of miracles, and we wanted them to see firsthand the impact of the dollars they’re raising.

Audrey, who is turning 16 in September, and her mom know all too well just how important Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals funds are. When Audrey was born, her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck and her hands. She was blue, and doctors and nurses had to resuscitate her before she could receive further care in the neonatal intensive care unit. Her mom is so thankful that EMMC is in our backyard, and she’s thankful for our caring and generous neighbors, like the teams at the Marriott Courtyard and TownePlace Suites, who make sure doctors and nurses have the training, equipment, programs, and services they need to care for kids, like Audrey!
