A National Movement Finds a Spark in Orono
Hi friends, it’s Kelly here from EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. I want to introduce you to a movement sweeping college campuses across the United States, including right here in Orono at the University of Maine. It’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon, or Black BearTHON at UMaine, and it’s for the kids.
Since 2012, UMaine students, with the support of their family, friends, and the University, have raised close to $300,000 to benefit EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
And for someone who has the opportunity to work directly with the students, it’s inspiring. UMaine has a group of six students who make up the exec team each. It is this group of students who spend a year developing leadership skills that will last a lifetime, and that will bring a smile to kids’ faces that will last just as long!
Black BearTHON 2018 is scheduled for February 10, 2018 at UMaine’s Memorial Union! You can help make miracles happen alongside these incredible Black Bears by visiting https://events.dancemarathon.com/event/UMO2018.
