Laughter! Silly Camp Songs! A Whole Lot of Hope!

The sounds of laughter, silly camp songs, and the dinner bell. The smell of pine trees, s’mores, and campfires. The sights of lifelong friendships being made, games being played, crafts being painted, and kids splashing in the lake. This is Camp Hope, and it’s going on right now at the Bangor Y’s Camp Jordan in Ellsworth. This may look like a typical overnight camp, but it’s so much more. Camp Hope is a special week-long overnight camp for kids being treated for cancer or blood disorders or who have been treated in the past. The kids and their families are invited to attend free of charge thanks to the generous support of donors.

At Camp Hope, kids enjoy swimming, crafts, campfires, hiking, and sporting activities in an environment that allows kids to be kids and to not think about their cancer diagnosis for a few days.

This incredible camp wouldn’t be possible without the support of donors. If you’d like to send a child and their family to Camp Hope 2025, make a donation online today! Your donation gives our young patients the chance to feel like a healthy kid again, and their families feed off of the success stories of survivors, giving them hope and support. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
