In a Galaxy Far, Far Away

Hi friends! Kelly here at EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. How did you spend your weekend? I had the chance to hang out with our friends from Star Wars at Bangor Mall Cinemas, and do a little droid wrangling.

A few years ago, Orrington resident, Paul Bussiere, built his very own, life size version, of R2D2. And, he’s been very generous and kind to bring R2 to hang out with the kids who are on Eastern Maine Medical Center‘s inpatient pediatrics unit, and to fundraising events throughout Maine. It’s always a great time to see the smiles on kids’ faces – kids of all ages – when they meet R2, and it’s just a little bit better when you realize that you are playing a role in that bright smile by controlling R2’s sounds.
